*認證認可協會成立于2005年9月27日，是由認證認可行業的認可機構、認證機構、認證培訓機構、認證咨詢機構、實驗室、檢測機構和部分獲得認證的組織等單位會員和個人會員組成的非營利性、全國性的行業組織。依法接受業務主管單位國家質量監督檢驗檢疫總局、登記管理機關民政部的業務指導和監督管理。
*認證認可協會以推動*認證認可行業發展為宗旨，為政府、行業、社會提供與認證認可行業相關的各種服務。
*認證認可協會的主要工作有：加強社會責任監督，制定行規行約，規范行業行為，維護行業利益；調查研究中外行業發展及市場趨勢，參與制定行業發展戰略規劃，向政府提出政策和立法建議，向社會提供信息與咨詢服務；倡導科技進步，促進信息化建設，組織人才教育和培訓；參與制、修訂國家行業標準，并組織貫徹實施；組織國際對話，開展行業外交，促進國際合作；開展認證推廣工作；編輯、翻譯出版認證方面的標準、期刊、書籍、文集和資料等；完成政府主管部門交辦的工作。
*認證認可協會以提升行業素質為己任，著力于行業、企業與政府間的溝通協調，并加快國際合作步伐，努力為*認證認可行業發展營造良好的氛圍。
ChinaCertificationandAccreditationAssociation(CCAA)，foundedonSeptember27th2005，isanonprofitandnationalindustryorganizationcomposedofaccreditationBodiesofcertificationandaccreditationindustry，certificationBodies，certificationtrainingBodies，certificationconsultingBodies，laboratories，inspectionBodies，someoftheorganizationsthathaveacquiredthecertification，personalmembers，andcompanymembers.Inconformityofthelaw，CCAAreceivesguidance，supervision，andmanagementfromthesuperiormanagementdepartment，namelyGeneralAdministrationofQualitySupervision，InspectionandQuarantineofthePeople’sRepublicofChinaandregistrationmanagementdepartment，namelyMinistryofCivilAffairsofthePeople’sRepublicofChina.
Basedonthepurposetoadvancethedevelopmentofthecertificationandaccreditationindustry，CCAAprovidesallkindsofrelevantservicesforgovernment，industry，andsociety.
ThemainworksofCCAAinclude:tostrengthensocialresponsibilitysupervision，establishrulesandagreementoftheindustry，standardizetheindustrybehaviors，andmaintaintheindustryadvantages;toparticipatetheestablishmentofindustrydevelopmentstrategyplan，providepolicyandlegislationsuggestionstothegovernment，andprovideinformationandconsultingservicestothesociety;toadvocatetechnologyadvancement，encourageinformationizationconstruction，andarrangeteachingandtrainingfortalentedpeople;toparticipatetheestablishmentandrevisionofthenationalindustrystandard，andputintopractice;toarrangeinternationaltalks，developindustryinternationaldiplomacy，andencourageinternationalcooperation;todeveloppopularizationworkofthecertification;toedit，translate，andpublishstandards，journals，books，anthology，andmaterialsrelevanttocertification;toaccomplishassignedjobsbythegovernmentsuperiordepartments.
